Speaking of the various types of disabilities:
The campsite has no specific facilities for people with sensory disabilities (visual, hearing) or mental, psychic or cognitive disabilities. We hope that your autonomy can be supplemented by your fellow traveler or by our efforts if necessary. Don’t hesitate to contact us to share your needs with us.
For the rest of this article, we’ll focus on the motor handicap.
Depending on type of location
- ⛺ Tent pitch:
Most of our tent pitches are located on terraces accessible by stairs! Contact us to find out if we still have suitable pitches for the dates of your stay.
- 🚐 Pitches for vehicles (trailers, campervans,…):
The ground is sometimes stabilized with gravel which might hinder the wheels of a wheelchair. There is often a slight border between driveway and pitch.
- 🏡 Vacation rentals:
Please study the descriptions and photos of our rental properties carefully. The rooms and studios are almost all in buildings with staircases. Most mobile homes are raised by 3 access steps between the ground and the terrace. Ask about our Origan chalet (see details below), which has adapted facilities.

Accessibility of the campground services
- ✨ Our public facilities (TV room, drinks dispensers, emergency telephone, etc.) are wheelchair-accessible. Unfortunately, the children’s playground is not accessible without stairs.
- 🚿 We have a PMR-compliant sanitary cubicle (shower, WC, washbasin) in sanitary block 2. Ask for the key at reception.
- 🏊♂️ Our wellness area is wheelchair-accessible (duckboards can be installed on request to cross the foot baths). The pools are at seat-height, so transfers are possible provided you have a certain minimum level of mobility. Harnesses are not available. The sauna is not wheelchair accessible.
- 👨💼 For unaccompanied guests, we offer a free compensatory service for the following: garbage collection (sorted and in garbage can bags), washing and drying laundry, ironing equipment, etc.
- 🔆 And outside the campsite? Access to the seaside, shops and transport links is excellent (cycle path). Villeneuve Loubet has been awarded the Handiplage label (one of which is just 500m from the campsite): more info on the Tourist Office website.
Rental ORIGAN in detail!
Particular care has been taken with this bungalow, with its wide exterior and modular interior, to adapt to multiple configurations (large families, groups, etc.). L’Origan also has a number of advantages for people with reduced mobility, but we need to go into more detai.

- 👩🦽 The access ramp has a standard slope (see photo at the top of this article).
In front of this ramp, a small passageway is made of gravel. (🚧 Paving work ahead).
- 👨👩👧👦 The rental can accommodate up to 7 people, but in the presence of a wheelchair, we will only accept a maximum of 5 people. . In the living room, the use of the convertible sofa (and table with extension) hinders maneuvering in the living area.
- 🛏 Bedroom: to transfer a person from a chair to the bed (single bed), we have to move the 2nd single bed and position it under the bunk bed (only once at the beginning of the stay, with our help), which eliminates the space for a possible crib. So there will be no double beds. 🚧 Improvements ahead : new bedlegs for higher bed heights to facilitate the transfer.
Note : by removing the 2 single beds, there is enough space to install a care bed (some customers have already rented one for their vacations).

- 🚿 Bathroom: the room is wide enough to maneuver in a wheelchair, and there’s a lightweight seat in the shower. However, to get through the sliding window, you’ll need sufficient motor skills. 🚧 Improvements ahead : replacing the glass pane with a curtain. Important : in case of greater need (very low autonomy), the cabin of the common sanitary block of the campsite will be at your disposal.

- Kitchen: the furniture is not appropriate for wheelchairs. Some switches may be inaccessible.

Although the situation is not perfect for welcoming people with reduced mobility, we are committed to making the best of what is existent. This starts with an honest communication of the constraints so that you can make an informed choice and go on vacation with peace of mind… Do not hesitate to contact us as soon as possible to clarify some points : the sooner we know, the better we can explain and manage the organizational constraints (depending on the season, context, etc.).
